Gaining a Cert IV in Disability Support will allow you the opportunity for employment in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, and jobs that provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. This qualification will help assist you to promote a person-centred approach, work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.
2 days a week for 12 months
Working within or undertaking a placement in the industry is a required due to the practical application/assessments as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the Units of Competency.
